You are not forgotten

Just taking a simple few minutes out of my day to carry on the lives of two great American soldiers!
Staff Sergeant Joe Larry Dunigan Jr.
Specialist Christopher Kenneth Hill

On 3/11/2004 in Fallujah, Iraq while conducting combat operations these two amazing soldiers were taken in a split second.
Ssgt. Dunigan left behind a wife and two great boys while Spc. Hill left behind a wife and daughter that will never know her daddy. Through the years I have been able to visit with both family's and tell of my actions on that day to help them understand what happened. While this is by far the most painful thing I have ever done it is also something that I do out of respect! RESPECT for the men/women that STILL TODAY do this without question.

For most this day will again come and go just like any other Thursday. Some may argue with their spouse, may yell at their kids, may curse out somebody for driving slow, may even complain about getting onions on their sandwich when they asked for it without.

However, on Thursday 3/11/2010 I simply ask that you take the second that these two men cannot and realize what you have! While you may not have as much as others, I can guarantee that you have more then SOMEBODY!! Take a second and close your eyes and just say "thank you!"

Every time I shave I run over the scars I was left with and realize how lucky I am to be here. Here to hug and hold my daughters, to point those who ask down the right path and most of all to keep the memory and heroic acts of these two men alive!!

Both of the men I write about are men that asked for NOTHING of their fellow soldier and nothing from their country.
What I ask FOR THEM is that they not be forgotten! These men along with thousands of other men/women have given everything for this country...........Please do not forget that!!!!

Staff Sergeant Dunigan and Specialist Hill: You showed me the ropes, taught me when to keep my mouth shut, taught me when to OPEN it, taught me the ability to do a "gut check" in times of combat, and most of all taught me how to be humble for the things I have done. For that I say with tear filled eyes "THANK YOU" and we will meet again...........
